Grumble grumble snark snark

Hey, guys.

Would you please pray for me? I'm pretty discouraged right now. I was doing mostly fine at school healthwise, but since coming back just getting to church and back has been a huge drain in my energy. I was talking to my mom and a friend and they were explaining to me that carbs turn to sugar in your body, and I'm pretty sure that's what's causing all the tiredness (too much carbs, probably not enough protein), but cutting carbs out of my diet is going to be very hard and is already a frustrating endeavour. Today at church I was trying to do 'a lot' (sing on worship team, set up and tear down for a picnic) and in the process ended up exhausted. The continual headaches on top of that, and my eyes really starting to ache a lot (new specs are in the mail and should be here Tuesday or Wednesday!!), have just added to the problems. I hardly have the emotional energy left to talk to people, hang out with friends, plan our trip to the Rebelution conference, study for my CLEP tests, or help out with housework. It's so frustrating; I'm honestly not doing much, but just this little bit is overwhelming right now... and emotionally... well, we won't even go there.

Please pray that my attitude would be one of submission to God and His will for me (whether that's good health or what I think is less than ideal).
Please pray that I would depend on our strong God instead of relying on my own strength.
Pray that I wouldn't worry about matters that are out of my hands.

From the dust of the Rabbi,
~Camille

  1. Hey Camille, I will certainly be praying for you. Health is a blessing, and one that frequently gets taken for granted until it's gone: i certainly will pray that God will see fit to give you more energy and take away the headaches.

  3. Hey, Camille! I was just signing up for a DEEP class (well, trying to at least...) and I saw a random quote of yours that they put up the DEEP website ^.^ I was like "Hey, I know that person!".

You have been in my prayers, keep trusting the Lord! Remember:

"But he said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.' Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me."
    2 Corinthians 12:9

  4. Thanks so much for praying for me, guys! I was flipping through my journal and I found notes from when someone (Alex Montoya??) spoke in Chapel and told the story of Dr. Rosscup coming into seminary shortly after his wife died and when asked "How are you doing?" responded by saying, "Our Saviour has risen, hasn't He?" What a huge encouragement to know! That's all that really matters; Christ has risen, therefore we have hope. That's our certain hope.

Weston, that was a verse I heavily relied on during my monofied days. It is crazy to see how God literally is our strength.

  5. I'll be praying for you Camille! I'm so sorry about that! I know it must be extremely difficult for you. Don't worry about taking it easy though. God will fill in all the blanks. Good grief! He's already planned it all out anyway :) It was predestined, so enjoy the easy schedule . . . (sorry, I couldn't resist. I'm still on a Romans 1 high). Hope eating more protein and less carbs works for you. Sounds like it'd help a lot. The glasses probably will too. Keep us all updated.
